A request for a food production line needs more than “we need a production line.” Suppliers need to know what raw material is processed, how the product will be packed and the target output per shift. A clear specification makes different offers easier to compare.
1. Describe the product and raw material
Name the product, the condition of the incoming material and the properties that matter in the finished product. Produce, tomato paste, sauces, grain and snacks require different process steps. If available, attach photos of the raw material and finished product, dimensions and a packaging sample.
2. Set output and operating schedule
State the target volume per hour or shift, batch size, number of shifts and operators available. Ask the supplier what raw material and operating conditions their nominal output assumes.
3. Break the line into process steps
List the operations you need: washing, sorting, cutting, cooking, mixing, filling, capping and labelling. Ask the supplier to itemise each machine, show the line layout and explain where one stage hands off to the next. The catalog includes examples of a fruit and vegetable washing and sorting line, tomato-paste processing equipment and an automatic sauce filling line; confirm suitability with the supplier.
4. Packaging and hygiene
Specify the container type—bottle, jar, pouch or another format—its dimensions and closure method. Ask what materials contact the product, how the equipment is cleaned, and which documents or conformity information may be needed in your target market.
5. Factory and utility requirements
Confirm voltage and phase, water, steam, compressed air and drainage needs. Check the floor plan, line length and access dimensions before installation. Ask whether operator training, software language, spare parts and technical support are included or quoted separately.
